Welcome to the top 10, Ohio State.

By beating Penn State and Michigan State at home to continue a hot streak, the Buckeyes rose from No. 13 to No. 7 in the Associated Press top-25 poll. For the first time since December 2019, they find themselves ranked among the 10 best teams in college basketball.

The climb lines up a top-10 showdown in Iowa City, Iowa, on Thursday night with the No. 8 Hawkeyes playing host to Ohio State at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Those two squads are among the six Big Ten teams ranked inside the top-25. No. 4 Michigan, No. 12 Illinois, No. 19 Wisconsin and No. 24 Purdue join them in the rankings.

The Buckeyes' game later this week at Iowa will be their only opportunity to move up before the next rankings come out in a week. They won't play another game until Feb. 8 at Maryland. They're 14-4 overall, 8-4 within the Big Ten and have won six of their past seven games.

This is Ohio State's fourth week in a row being ranked in the top-25 after falling out of it for one week on Jan. 4.
