Former Ohio State and current Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell recorded the first triple double of his NBA career on Friday night, accumulating career-highs of 11 rebounds and 13 assists in addition to 18 points in the Nets' 116-112 loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Russell became the first Nets player to record a triple double since Terrance Williams in 2010, breaking a 633-game drought, the second-longest drought in the NBA (behind the Utah Jazz) according to ESPN Stats and Info.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft after playing just one season at Ohio State, Russell is currently in his third NBA but his first season with the Nets after beginning his career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In 38 total games played this season, Russell has averaged 16.1 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game and 4.9 assists per game.
