Keita Bates-Diop Named Second Team All-American by U.S. Basketball Writers Association

The postseason accolades continue to roll in for Keita Bates-Diop. 

Bates-Diop, a redshirt junior, was named a second-team All-American by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association on Monday, after leading Ohio State to a No. 5 seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament and a second place finish in the Big Ten. 

The Normal, Ill. native averaged 19.4 points and 8.8 boards per game this season and is also a finalist for the Julius Erving Award, the Wooden Award and a semifinalist for the Naismith Trophy

He was also named a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection this season and the conference player of the year, Ohio State's first since Evan Turner won the award in 2010.
