Ohio State shook off its Vegas hangover to breeze past Youngstown State, 77-40, at Value City Arena on Tuesday night.

Jae'Sean Tate, Kam Williams and Keita Bates-Diop each 15 points apiece to lead the Buckeyes, while Trevor Thompson finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds off the bench in place of Michah Potter, who injured his ankle on the opening tip-off.

Ohio State used its superior athleticism and size to jump out to a 42-14 halftime lead. The Buckeyes lead ballooned to as many as 26 points early in the second half, and the Penguins never got closer than 26 down the stretch.

Matt Dolan led Youngstown State with 10 points.

Ohio State will be back in action on Thursday night against UNC-Asheville. Tip-off at Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center is scheduled for 9 p.m.
