A four-year starter on the Buckeyes’ offensive line, Price holds the school record for most consecutive starts with 55. He helped lead Ohio State to a national championship as the Buckeyes’ starting left guard as a redshirt freshman in 2014. After two years in that role, Price moved to right guard, earning first-team All-American honors at that position in 2016. He then won the Rimington Trophy and was a unanimous All-American as Ohio State’s starting center in 2017.
Price was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the No. 21 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. He retired from the NFL in 2024 after suffering a pulmonary embolism in his lungs.
Price is joined Ohio State’s 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame class by the following Buckeye greats:
- Bianca Alvarez (diving): 2012 Big Ten Diver of the Year
- Katarzyna Dabrowa (fencing): 2012 NCAA epee champion
- Veronica Jatsek (track and field): Three-time Big Ten champion in weight/hammer throw
- Myles Martin (wrestling): 2017 NCAA champion at 174 pounds
- Mary Olsen (women’s gymnastics): Five-time Big Ten champion
- Kim Reeder (softball): School record holder in wins and innings pitched
- Blaz Rola (men’s tennis): NCAA singles and doubles champion
- Jack Varga (rifle): Big Ten champion and Navy Distinguished Marksman
- Alex Wimmers (baseball): Two-time Big Ten Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-American
The 2025 Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame class will be officially inducted during a ceremony at the Covelli Center on Oct. 3. They will be subsequently honored during Ohio State’s home football game against Minnesota on Oct. 4.
