You may find that work, school, or other obligations keep you from focusing on Twitter the way you should. Thankfully for you, I'm able to tune out those distractions and provide you with a weekly rundown of the best tweets from around campus.

Two weeks from this moment, we will have already enjoyed our first night of college football. Then after that, it's just a short countdown until the Buckeyes take the field in Blacksburg. I head back to Columbus from Georgia today for school, and it's starting to feel real. Guys — it's happening. The season is at hand.

It's always the last few days that take the longest, but we've got you covered with more preview content than you can possibly handle and of course, the best tweets from this week.

Even though many of the players slowed down on their social media use during camp, there were still plenty to go around.

Braxton and CardaJ.T. in the backfield at the same time? Yup. Sold.

I cannot confirm, but if I were a betting man (sing praises that online sports gambling is relatively difficult to do or I would be a degenerate) I would wager that "Terrence" is sophomore wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

Alright guys. Can we at least just TRY something different? I'm not a Chipotle hater, I promise, but there are so many wonderful places to eat in Columbus, at least try something different. In the eternal words of Yo Gabba Gabba, "Try it! You'll lie it!"

I'm confident this one will work out in Shelley's favor.

I had almost forgotten blonde hair Braxton.

"Happy Birthday! Go run until you vomit!"

Fun at the whac

It appears the players and coaches are doing everything they can to keep camp from absolutely sucking. Against all odds, they might be actually be succeeding.

You've gotta stay hydrated!

Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what's going on here, but alright.

I am bothered that Urban Meyer referred to a Capri Sun as a "juice box." It is no mere juice box, it is magic in a pouch.

D'angelo russell makes first big purchase

The newest NBA star made one of his first big, independent purchases this week.

The first tweet (since deleted) said something very close to "Where can I get a dog in LA? Let me know ASAP." Uh, alright. That doesn't sound like an "ASAP" thing I would ask my thousands of random Twitter followers about (does he know about the google.com? Should we tell him?), but I guess I can't really hate. It was quite effective. He literally got hundreds of responses and pictures of dogs in just a few minutes.

Moral of the story: if you ever need something, just join the NBA and ask Twitter for it:

The tweet was rather perplexing too, but whatever. I guess when you're the number two pick in the NBA Draft you can do pretty much whatever you want on Twitter.

Also, if you were wondering about the dog:

Zone-6 is in full swing

The wide receivers unit has always been a source of pride at Ohio State, but that doesn't mean there wasn't room for improvement. Zach Smith's "Zone-6" might have taken that unit to a new level. I don't recall ever seeing so much pride, unity, fun, competitiveness, and sense of family within any position group — but that's exactly what you see with Zone-6.

Here's a look at what Zone-6 is all about, from fun to family:

And it is one scary talented group:

This week's winner of twitter

There will be no winner of twitter this week — there are no winners in a week where Cardale Jones decides to stay off Twitter. Instead, I give you this as a reminder to hope and pray for a safe return of the Troll Sultan to the Twitterverse following camp — my job security hinges on it.

Follow Friday:

  • Mark Pantoni (Director of Player Personnel): @markpantoni
  • D.J. Byrnes: @Marion_Ohio It's actually really hard to pin down what D.J.'s "job" is at Eleven Warriors. He kinda just does anything and everything that needs doing. He also puts together the morning skull sessions for you guys to start your days off to. He enjoys the copious consumption of alcoholic beverages, Browns "football", Cats, Bibibop, and Twitter. So, you should follow him on Twitter (or not, really. It's your call).
