Former Buckeye J.J. Wolf won his first round match in straight sets, 7-5 6-3 7-6. He’s been playing pretty well this season with a 16-14 record on the year. He’s currently ranked 48th in the world, slightly down from his career-high ranking of 39th back in February. He advanced to the 4th round of the Australian Open earlier this season, but was eliminated in the 1st round of the French Open in five sets against the #27 seed. This is his first appearance at Wimbledon, so let’s wish him luck!
