Other thread is almost up to 200 comments so figured a fresh one would be good for the draft weekend. I remember back in 2020 where the off-season threads would be popping if it hit 50 comments. Crazy how much bigger this franchise has gotten under Burrow.
Random Rumors/Info from writers
- Bengals have been connected to Jahmyr Gibbs by many writers, a lot of hype that he will sneak into the back of the first. Great player who would have an obvious role in the offense. Still, have to be scared to see the Chiefs light a pick on fire in draft Clyde Edwards Helaire who is a similar player.
- Bengals have been connected to DTs heavily and some saying that’s the goal at 28. Daniel Jeremiah had them taking Keanu Benton in his final mock. Kancey/Bresee may be the only legit players there at 28.
- Emmanuel Forbes is another guy they have really been targeting and this one hasn’t been hidden. Fits what they love in tall lengthy and fast. Tobin has been known to go after first rounders.
- RB and TE has been the focus of the staff, will very likely be picks somewhere.
- All in all it’s clear that BPA is the strategy in round 1. Every coach/front office guy has said it and the roster is filled with talent.
