Carnell Tate selected No. 4 overall by the Tennessee Titans, Arvell Reese goes No. 5 to the New York Giants, Sonny Styles selected No. 7 by the Washington Commanders and Caleb Downs goes No. 11 to the Dallas Cowboys.
Following a ridiculous comeback by the Texans the Bears have officially locked up the #1 overall pick. Justin Fields has had a really good second year but is on a team with no talent around him. This puts them in a great spot to trade down and let somebody go get Bryce Young #1 overall. With the stigma around OSU it will be great to see Fields with a talented cast around him in a brand new stadium.
However the Bears are the Bears and could screw things up. They already traded the #32 overall pick for Chase Claypool who has 140 yards in 7 games with the Bears. That would have been a great pick to trade up and get a receiver(JSN?) They should be going into this draft with the top picks in each round and 3 extra picks(2nd, 4, 5) but don’t have that one.
The Bears also go into next year with $110 million in cap space. Just no excuse to not set up a team that can make the playoffs
