MLB announced Bob Davidson, John Hirschbeck, Tim Welke and Jim Joyce have retired. The latter, you may recall, is responsible for possibly the worst call in Major League history.

Jim went on to apologize and even admitted publicly that he blew the call that ruined Armando Gallarraga's perfect game. As the story goes, not many umpires would have handled it as well as Jim so I have no problem saying that I wish no ill will on him, nor have I ever. (It's just a game lets be real) I wish nothing but the best for Jim in his retirement, but as a Tigers fan, maybe he should still stay out of Detroit for a little while longer. Enjoy yourself Jimmy!
