For all the boxing fans, one of our native sons defended his lightweight title tonight in Toledo, Ohio. Robert Easter Jr. holds the IBF lightweight championship belt, and won by unanimous decisions at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo. Easter is a rare 135 pounder as he stands 5'11" and usually possesses a massive height and reach advantage over opponents. This was the first major title fight on Toledo soil since July 4th, 1919 when Jack Dempsey knocked out Jess Willard for the heavyweight title. This was a great night for our city and a great night for Robert!
