Slow night around here so I thought I'd throw this out as I watch the Marlins vs. Tigers. Each team has one of the best hitters I've ever seen in my lifetime and one of them they just can't show enough because he's been out of baseball for many years and has now returned as Miami's Hitting Coach (Barry Bonds). 

I thought it would be fun to ask who the Top 5 hitters are that you've ever seen in your lifetime - not of all-time, unless you happen to be over 100 yo. I'd love to hear that Top 5. Defense and baserunning count for nothing here. Power and contact are weighted as you want. Steroid era is a "go". Body of work should be considered please; not just one season. That's a different question, maybe for another time.
