Ohio State lands its second commitment of the day from in-state tight end Nick Lautar.
News just broke:
"Dr. Beth Osterday-Strange and Kerry Coombs will be inducted into the Reading Sorrentos Hamilton County Sports Hall of Fame May 14.
This year’s 54th anniversary program will be held at the St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus in Carthage."
"Coombs is a 1979 Colerain graduate who turned his alma mater into one of Ohio’s top football programs before helping the University of Cincinnati and Ohio State University to record-setting championship seasons on the collegiate level. Colerain won the 2004 Division I state championship, 50-10 over Canton McKinley, which is still the largest margin of victory in OHSAA history in a big school state title game. He was a part of UC’s coaching staff that led the Bearcats to two BCS bowl games and now is the cornerbacks coach/special teams coordinator at OSU, where he helped the Buckeyes win the 2014 season national title."
Tickets, which include dinner and a social hour, are $25. For further information, contact Tom Taylor (513-706-6807), Paul Boehm (513-777-9631) or Kevin Goheen (kgoheen67@gmail.com).
