Toronto slugger Jose Bautista is in a contact year this season and it has recently been reported that he's expecting $150 million over five years (he's denied this). Further, he said Toronto has his number and he refuses to negotiate...that it will be that number or he'll hit free agency.

Now, I get that his current contract has had him playing below market value, but a $30 million/year contract to a 35 year old player who has missed significant time to injury...
If I'm Toronto, I trade him and get a huge prospect package this year. No sense in signing yourself up for an A-Rod/Pujols situation where you have dead weight eating a ton of your salary budget, even if the fans riot (I mean still though, Canadian fans. Will be the most peaceful riot ever).
So I pose the question to 11W (and the couple Jays fans I've seen around these parts): do you pay him or no?
