Ohio State lands its second commitment in two days from safety Khmari Bing.

Looks like things are heating up again on the recruiting trail
According to reports, former Penn State commit Kemon Spell, the No. 1 running back in the 2027 class, is showing renewed interest in Ohio State after backing off his pledge to the Nittany Lions following James Franklin’s firing.
Spell already made a visit to Columbus earlier this season while still committed to Penn State, and now there’s buzz that he could be back in town for the upcoming Penn State game. That would be a huge sign that the Buckeyes are firmly in the mix for one of the most dynamic prospects in the country.
The 5-star back out of Maryland has drawn comparisons to TreVeyon Henderson for his blend of vision, acceleration, and balance. He’s been on Ohio State’s radar for a while, and Tony Alford (before leaving) laid a solid foundation with him — now it’s up to the staff to close the gap.
If Spell does make the trip, it would mark his second visit to Columbus in 2025, which is typically a strong indicator of serious mutual interest.
Either way, this would be a statement pull for the Buckeyes — flipping a former Penn State commit at that position would send shockwaves through the Big Ten.
Stay tuned, Buckeye Nation. This one could get fun.
