If any of you think you’re the right person to lead Ohio State’s recruiting efforts, you can now apply to be the Buckeyes’ new director of player personnel on LinkedIn, where the job was posted this week.

The job description from the posting:

Oversees the evaluation/scouting of all high school prospects. Builds and maintains the recruiting board for all classes with class sizes reaching up to 3,000 individuals. Assists with hosting prospects and parents on official and unofficial visits. Communicate and build relationships with prospects and parents. Assists with the collection of transcripts and academic monitoring. Helps assistant coaches with their recruiting travel. Collaborate to monitor and evaluate the transfer portal. Assists with all camps and clinics. Performs research and special projects as assigned. Manages all interns and students working in personnel. Assists the General Manager with all day-to-day activities.

Whoever ultimately gets the job – presumably someone who already has experience working as a director of player personnel elsewhere – will replace Zach Grant, who was recently hired as the general manager at Cincinnati. The director of player personnel serves as the top assistant to general manager Mark Pantoni in Ohio State’s player personnel department.
