DESOTO, Texas -- Dontre Wilson turned to the middle school-aged ballboy on the sideline and confidently said, "Watch this little baller." 

Then he went onto the field and scored. In that boy's eyes, a legend was born. 

Roughly four years later, Wilson is a rising star at Ohio State and that ballyboy – athlete Kadarrian Nixon of DeSoto, Texas – is one of the fastest rising stars in the 2017 recruiting class. 

And of course Nixon would walk into the coaches room at DeSoto on Thursday wearing a bright red Ohio State hoodie in support of Wilson, his favorite player. But Nixon's admiration for Ohio State extends further than just apparel. 

"If I got an Ohio State offer I would go," Nixon told cleveland.com. "Urban Meyer, he means what he says."
