This sounds like it would be a home run hire for Coach Day. I just wonder about his recruiting ability. Hartline has been so good at building relationships early with these players and families. OSU has undoubtedly received a "discount" because of this. As I understand it, Chris Henry Jr. turned down more from Oregon to stick with OSU. That's a deep bond that was built with Coach Day, Coach Hartline and the school.
Cortez Hankton certainly has the bonafides as a WR coach. I'm just unfamiliar with the recruiting aspect.
Former LSU WR coach Cortez Hankton has interviewed for a position on Ohio State's staff.
Hankton, a six-year NFL veteran, has been with LSU since 2022 and helped develop Malik Nabers, Brian Thomas, and others.
Would be a very good addition to the Buckeyes! pic.twitter.com/RUennLDW18
