Both Tressel and Meyer were very successful at OSU doing it their own way. With Meyer bringing Day in to the program, it would seem that Day's coaching style would mirror Meyer. However as time goes on, it appears that Day has more and more Tressel in his measured approach to games and the season. Rather than bulldozing opponents, he seems to keep his eye on the end game and manages everything toward that goal, preserving his players for the big moments. I have him at 65% Tressel and 35% Meyer at this stage in his career.
Where Does Ryan Day Now Fall on the Tressel-Meyer Scale?
