Any thoughts on why Wisconsin did not try to kick a FG at the end of the game?

I think it was Luke Fickle is a defensive minded coach. He knows tha3 points meant nothing to anybody and he knows it meant a lot to defensive unit. Also being a Buckeye may have helped his decision.
