I was watching the Joel Klatt weekly college football show this morning and during his review of the PSU/UCLA game he always mentions coaches finding "looks" they like, re-running plays in certain spots, etc..
Ive always thought that it seems crazy for QBs to memorize 4-5 different routes for hundreds of different plays for each game. I'm trying to get more into true football coaching knowledge and how things actually work, so if you have insights or thoughts, help me out.
- Are we just running the same plays over and over again and my simple brain cant notice it / figure it out? Wouldn't other teams be able to figure this out a lot easier than us?
- Do we run the same play multiple times during each game? Or just slight variations for the same plays?
- How unique are the different plays that we run, and how many different plays do you think we actually have ready to run each game?
Go Bucks!
