Just a summary of the Gameday changes they made and how they were vs Ohio last night:
1) The way they introduce Brutus before the games is bad*ss. He has his own little feature and it’s really cool. He has his own hype music announcing he’s coming. He rode into the stadium from our tunnel on a hot rod and jumped on a column with smoke coming out hyping the crowd up. He was introduced as “the best mascot in college football.” Really nice change from years prior.
2) MC Crump was there last night again. Great addition to the stadium. The crowd really responds to him and he’s a natural on the mic.
3) I like the bell ringing before the game with a famous alum. It was Clark Kellogg last night. The crowd was really into it.
4) The towels are dead. Didn’t see a single person other than MC Crump with a towel. Only a matter of time before they stop mentioning the towels at all.
5) The Caamp song is ok. The video to it is really good. It’s not a song that’s going to get anyone fired up but it’s a nice segue between the first and second quarter. I much prefer it to a stupid corporate presentation.
6) Speaking of stupid corporate presentations, the abundance of corporate presentations have returned unfortunately. I don’t remember any vs Texas. There were tons last night and it was ultra-annoying. I am hopeful that they did this only because it wasn’t a marquee matchup.
