President Carter with some interesting comments. Personally, I like the Big Ten and like the current model as it provides stability. But it’s obvious that OSU and UM generate nearly all of the television revenue and are forced to distribute it out to the rest of the conference. Which is why there is always so much gripe with Fox always placing OSU on Big Noon. That massive Fox Contract that was signed with the conference was literally to just get the rights to OSU/UM.
I’d also be interested if down the road it’d make sense for reducing the number of sports if that means saving $ if budgets get tight. OSU having 36 sports while SEC schools have 16 might not line up.
