1) It goes down as a win, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

2) Arvell Reese is an absolute monster, and it's going to be fun to watch him this season.

3) Jermaine Mathews is very very good, Caleb Downs is extraordinary, and Davison Igbinosun had zero penalties today. BIA. Enough said. 

4) Arch Manning was never going to live up to the outrageous expectations that were placed on him, but I was surprised at how inaccurate he was, especially early on. Reminded me of Drew Allar in 2023.

5) Offensive play-calling was quite vanilla, which I'm fine with, given it was Julian's first start and the defense was balling. Going to need to see more from that department as the season goes on though.

6) Texas's best offensive rhythm came when they went with tempo, which exploited our weaknesses on the defensive line - something to watch as the season progresses.

7) I hate to say it, but Gus Johnson is not what he once was, and the whole Fox broadcast was pretty subpar. They never even mentioned the Kenyatta Jackson injury until many drives later, they were constantly mis-quoting stats, etc. - not great.

8) The entire game was basically won by our defense creating turnovers, both on the interception and stopping them on 4th downs. 

9) Outside of KJ (which seems like it won't be a long-term injury), we seemed to escape today unscathed, which is a huge win.

10) How about Ryan Day winning the big game??? I was told this was impossible :)
