FanBox brings you the Ohio State FanBox

Hello Buckeye fans! We're FanBox and we're putting Buckeye fans in the game with a series of limited-edition Ohio State FanBoxes, featuring autographs, national championship game tickets, and so much more!

Do you remember when your Ohio State fandom began? Do you remember where you were, who you were with, and what game you were watching?

Aaron S. shared his memory of becoming an Ohio State fan with us at FanBox:

For me… I was born into the Scarlet & Gray; it’s been in my blood from day one! But the first time I truly remember it taking hold was in 1998 when I was 6 years old. We were at my uncle’s house, down in his basement, which was nothing short of a shrine to Ohio State football. Buckeye wallpaper on the walls. Ohio State themed carpet under our feet. Even the lampshades were Ohio State themed.

I remember Ohio State was ranked #1, and we were all huddled around the TV. My dad yelled at the TV like the players and refs could hear him. My big cousin had on his “lucky” socks that he refused to wash…  and honestly, you could smell the superstition in the air. I will never forget winning and that literal smell of victory forever being burned into my nose and mind lololol.

Now it’s your turn!

When did your Ohio State story start? Who were you with? Where were you?

Post your story in the comments below so we can all take a trip down memory lane. Bonus if you have a photo from the early days of your fandom and want to share that (optional). One lucky responder will win a free Braxton Miller autographed Ohio State mini helmet from FanBox.
