Happy Monday, Eleven Warriors!
Over the weekend, Ohio State made a surprise addition to its football staff in the form of former NFL defensive coordinator Josh Boyer. Dan Hope and I spoke about the addition on this morning's edition of The Eleven Dubcast.
The news has prompted This Week's Question: If you could add one more available coach to Ohio State's staff ahead of the 2025 season, who would you choose?
Try to keep your answers reasonable in the sense of candidates that would seriously serve in an analyst role similar to the one Boyer seems likely to occupy. Nick Saban is not coming to Columbus to work under Ryan Day.
This might be a tricky question given the need to ensure availability. That being said, I'd probably go with former Broncos offensive line coach and Penn State guard Mike Munchak. He most recently served as a consultant for the Los Angeles Rams across the last two NFL seasons. Given Tyler Bowen is settling into his first year as offensive line coach at Ohio State, I think he could use all the support he can get.
Dan Hope half-jokingly offered up Ed Orgeron as a suggested answer. I can imagine Carson Hinzman would enjoy having him around given Orgeron attempted to lure him to LSU with promises of playing time at tight end and gumbo.
But what about you? Who else would you add to Ohio State's staff with only a handful of weeks left before the opener?
