With the post the other day with the highlights from Ohio State blowout wins over ranked teams it had me thinking about which one was the best blowout ranked win. My vote would go for the 2014 win over Wisky in the B1GCG. We will know the story at this point so no need to rehash but if OSU doesn't win that game the way they did we aren't talking about them being the winner of the first 4 team playoff.
Honorable mention I would go with the game against Oregon in the playoff this year. I put this one as honorable mention because OSU could have won the game by 1 and still moved on in the playoff so they didn't need to blow them out. What makes the win so great is considering the way they lost the first game earlier in the year, Oregon being the #1 seed and only undefeated team left, and even with the score ending up being a 20 point win it wasn't really that close. You could make an argument that it is the greatest playoff win of all time.
Last honorable mention is 2018 game vs TTUN. As we can all remember there was a period where a win against TTUN was basically a given. I was confident OSU was going to pull out the win every year with 2018 being the only year I was really nervous during that time. But luckily ERD aka Evil Ryan Day showed up with one of his best gameplans ever and boat raced them to the tune of 62 points which stands as the most points Ohio State has scored in The Game. The 62 points is also the most points TTUN has ever given up in regulation.
