Walk-on wide receiver Reis Stocksdale is leaving Ohio State after four years with the Buckeyes. The fifth-year senior wide receiver entered the transfer portal on the first day of the post-spring window, per 247Sports.

Stocksdale, who has one more year of collegiate eligibility, generated some buzz early in his Ohio State career when C.J. Stroud described Stocksdale as “somebody who I definitely think will have an opportunity to play in his career here.” After seeing occasional action as both a receiver and punt returner in 2022, however, Stocksdale did not see playing time in either of the last two seasons as he battled injuries. With Ohio State still loaded at wide receiver, Stocksdale was unlikely to see playing time this season if he stayed in Columbus.

Stocksdale is the second Ohio State walk-on to enter the portal on the first day of the post-spring transfer window, joining punter Anthony Venneri.
