Jim Lachey’s streak will continue after all.
The former Ohio State offensive lineman, who had originally expected to miss Ohio State’s radio broadcast of The Game after attending his son’s Senior Day game at Iowa on Friday night, made it back to Columbus and is at Ohio Stadium to call Ohio State’s rivalry game against Michigan for the Ohio State Sports Network.
Lachey, who became the color commentator for Ohio State’s radio broadcasts in 1997, will call his 358th consecutive Ohio State game on Saturday. He’ll do so after watching his son Luke Lachey play his final home game on Friday, in which Iowa earned a dramatic 13-10 win over Nebraska on a 53-yard Drew Stevens field goal as time expired following a strip sack of Dylan Raiola with just 16 seconds to play.
The Game will be broadcast on 97.1 The Fan in Columbus and other radio stations throughout the state of Ohio while FOX will televise the game nationally beginning at noon.
