Well, another week in the B1G, another slate of games.
As always, I checked ESPN's scoreboard to see the entry price (As Low As) for each game. And, as we all know, these values do not reflect the extra taxes or fees of which we're accustom.
We're now fixed into conference play, and this is the first week where there's no 'battle of unbeatens' -- There's only 3 battle of unbeatens possible remaining and they all involve OSU (Oregon, PSU, Indiana <-- not a typo). Hopefully Oregon beats a beleaguered MSU on short rest to preserve next week's uber matchup.
Here's the games
Home | Away | As Low As | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Oregon | MSU | $17 | Friday Night Yawner -- hopefully MSU doesn't ruin next weekend |
PSU | UCLA | $33 | Thought this would be higher |
Minnesota | USC | $33 | |
OSU!!! | Iowa | $45 | Iowa has a D, OSU has playmakers |
Wisconsin | Purdon't | $47 | why is this more than OSU's game :( -- Purdue blows |
Nebraska | Rutgers | $47 | |
Washington | TCUN | $63 | New Onside kick replay review rules in place |
Northwestern | Indiana | $129 | Lanny & Sharon Martin Stadium -- has like 4 seats |
Here's a recap - only 7 games - this year has two bye weeks.
- The $17 division -- It's Friday against a team with little national regard and a QB that's a turnover machine.
- Still, shouldn't Oregon fans be more excited for a playoff run?
- The $33 Division
- UCLA sucks and all of Pennsylvania knows it
- Minnesota had a huge let down last week and nobody wants to see them lose again
- $45-$63 division
- Wisconsin faithful see an automatic win -- Purdue is an honorary MAC team. Congrats Purdue.
- Nebraska can get some playoff cred by beating an undefeated Rutgers, not a typo.
- Washington hosts the rematch -- they can win this time
- OSU's slew of playmakers face an actual defense.
- This is, hopefully, a tune up for the meat of the schedule.
- No Brian Ferentz, Iowa shows the world the true meaning of addition by subtraction
- $129 division
- In a regular stadium, this is a who cares affair
- But, with their normal stadium in the shop, they play in a stadium modified to fit 12k.
- I shudder to think of OSU's entry price for a 12k stadium in Columbus.
