Did anyone else notice how quickly Iowa got the ball down the court to hit that game-winning three against Florida? It was a perfectly executed late-game play, not to mention it took less time than we had for our final possession against TCU.
It also made me wonder why it feels like Diebler is incapable of drawing up (or successfully execute) those kinds of quick, decisive plays in end-of-game situations. Honestly, I think that’s one of the biggest things holding our team back from being truly great and making a deeper tournament run.
Along those same lines, what’s going on with our constant late-game inbound issues and struggles against the press? It feels like this has been a recurring problem for OSU ever since Holtmann took over.
Man, I miss those well-designed Dallas Lauderdale inbound dunk plays that Matta had up his sleeve.
