I’m posting this for those of you in the Toledo area, those of you heading to Ann Arbor or for those from other parts of Ohio who wish to experience some of what’s called the “Border Battle” in the Toledo area. I saw this in the local news up there a couple weeks ago, and there is a new annual event in Toledo starting this year called the “Rally of the Rivals”

THE EPICENTER OF THE BUCKEYE-WOLVERINE FOOTBALL RIVALRY.
The rich history of the Ohio and Michigan rivalry dates back 200 years ago when the two states battled over the coveted City of Toledo port. Years later in 1897, the college gridiron battle began with the border war fueling the sport rivalry. Today, the border battle continues, pitting neighbors against neighbors and dividing households when Ohio State and Michigan take to the field each November.
On Friday, November 24, generations of Buckeye and Wolverine fans will come together for the first-ever Rally of the Rivals. Join us to celebrate the historic border battle and one of the biggest rivalries in college sports.
