Now that OSU and TTUN have played a few common opponents, I thought it’d be interesting to compare QB play. Our current common opponents are PSU, Rutgers, Purdue, and Indiana. Indiana has an asterisk because KAM wasn’t the full-time starter yet. After looking at it laid out, I find it very curious that one of these guys is considered a Heisman contender and the other is much maligned:
Rutgers
- KAM: 19/26, 189 yards, 3 TD/1 INT, 79.8 total QBR
- JJM: 15/21, 214, 1/0, 97.2
Purdue
- KAM: 16/28, 276, 3/0, 88.1
- JJM: 24/37, 335, 0/0, 72.1
Penn State
- KAM: 22/35, 286, 1/0, 85.2
- JJM: 7/8, 60, 0/0 (no QBR yet)
Totals
- KAM: 57/89 (64.1%); 751; 7/1; 84.4
- JJM: 46/66 (69.6%); 609; 1/0; 84.6*
Obviously there’s some game state differences and they are much more run-dependent than us, but still, notable.
