Question From Your Rival

Good morning 11W.  Hope you don't mind the occasional post from your rival.  I'm an alum and booster at Michigan.  And God help me, I love this rivalry more than is probably healthy.

So despite the last two seasons' results in The Game, most college football pundits still put OSU squarely in the inner-circle of the "elite" tier of programs (UGA, Bama, Clemson, etc.).  And as much as a homer I am for Michigan, I accept Michigan remains in the next tier with programs like PSU, ND, and others -- though two straight CFP semi's are starting to change the narrative, even with the ugly losses.  Folks here in Michigan say the program hit a complete reset in 2020 (with Harbaugh's job on the line) by retooling this team specifically to play a Harbaugh 1.0 (Stanford) brand football, which is difficult to defend when Michigan obtains the OL and backfield talent it needs.  Sprinkle in a capable QB, and suddenly the offense is suffocating opponents.

My question to the board:  Do the results from '21/'22 "The Game" return OSU's focus from what was a purely national conversation back to the B1G and getting past Michigan?  Or do folks believe nothing has changed.  That the past two years are a blip in what has been more than two decades of dominance?  Folks here believe Michigan is on the cusp of getting into the OSU orbit of talking about CFP's every year.  For me, I'm still suffering PTSD from the last 20+ years.  But if I were a fan of OSU, I'd be singularly focused on Michigan right now -- and would be irritated with any larger discussion before the narrative is changed back to what was.  Thoughts?  Is the strategy for OSU changing?

Thank you again for allowing me to post.
