247 anonymously surveyed recruits at the All-American bowl on how they viewed NIL and how important it was to their recruitment. Most said it was a factor but not the most important factor. Brandon Innis and Mark Fletcher are quoted.
Innis: “With where we’re at now in college football, it will definitely play a role. It definitely has played a role in my recruitment. But I didn’t go to the highest number. I found a place that felt like home, and I stayed there.”
Fletcher: “I don’t think you want to go somewhere where, like, you don’t seem appreciated as much,” “It’s how you’re viewed as a player and if you’re a priority to coaches. And I’m pretty sure that’s how most recruits feel.”
