Im not saying Ryan Day & Kirby Smart are similar cause they ARE NOT. But during Kirby Smart’s national championship loss to to Bama , his biggest criticism was how ultra conservative he was , playing not to lose … and not playing to Win that led to Bama coming back down MULTIPLE scores to beat them … in the final seconds all because Kirby was too committed to his tendencies. This is similar for Ryan Day … the last two years specifically… Day plays to not lose …. But never plays to win , yesterday… he put so much pressure on the defense that people forget OSU didnt score on MULTIPLE occasions & instead make terrible playcalls & even waved off to CJ when he wanted to go for it despite the offense rolling.

Now you are probably wondering where im going with this … but after that Natty loss , Kirby Smart revitalized his offense and understood that you cannot hope to to run out the clock & your Offense doesnt score… forcing your defense to do all the work , you need to have good playcalling against the best of the best & as of right now …. Day is in this head space where he assumes he can go conservative all game … he needs to take hard look into the mirror & understand if he thinks he should resume playcalling responsibilities….. it is time that he either hands it off to Wilson or go out & hire someone new & fresh
