Although Al Washington is staying at Ohio State, the Buckeyes are still losing one of their linebackers coaches to another job.
Michael Cibene, who worked with the linebackers as a support staffer, is joining Jeff Hafley's staff at Boston College, he announced Friday on Twitter.
Im excited to join the @BCFootball and cant wait to get to work. I want to thank @CoachJeffHafley and his staff for this opportunity. I would also like to thank everyone at @OhioStateFB for these past 2 seasons. Im forever grateful for the players and coaches I grew to love.

Cibene, who will be serving as a defensive graduate assistant at Boston College, will join several other members of Hafley's staff at BC who were also previously support staffers at Ohio State, including linebackers coach Sean Duggan, special teams coordinator Matt Thurin and head strength and conditioning coach Phil Matusz.
A former Ohio State walk-on safety, Cibene worked closely with Washington as a linebackers assistant over the past two years, and filled in as the Buckeyes' linebackers coach for this past season's Big Ten Championship Game when Washington was unavailable due to a positive COVID-19 test.
