Five Ohio State players have already accepted invitations to the 2021 Senior Bowl, with left tackle Thayer Munford becoming the latest to join that group on Monday, and they aren't the only senior Buckeyes being recognized by the premier all-star game for NFL draft prospects.
Defensive tackle Haskell Garrett isn't yet on the list of Buckeyes who are heading to Mobile in January, but the Senior Bowl made it clear it is taking notice of his play this season when it named the Ohio State defensive tackle as its Senior of the Week on Defense for his performance in Saturday's 52-12 win over Michigan State, in which he intercepted a pass in Michigan State's end zone for a touchdown.
This weeks Senior of the Week on Defense is @HASKELL_808 from @OhioStateFB - Collected 3 tackles and an INT in the end zone for a #BigMan TD in the #BuckeyeNation 52-12 win over Michigan State.

Garrett has undoubtedly raised his profile with NFL scouts this season, as he's played the best football of his Ohio State career by far while leading the Buckeyes' stout run defense, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him eventually join Tuf Borland, Trey Sermon, Jonathon Cooper, Baron Browning and Munford by receiving a Senior Bowl invitation.
Senior tight end Luke Farrell was also recognized by an all-star game for NFL draft prospects on Monday when he was announced as an East-West Shrine Bowl selection. While the Senior Bowl still intends to host its game this year, though, the Shrine Bowl has already announced that its 2021 game will not be played due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
