Gene Smith needs to be proactive and have an alternate lined up, logistics planned for, and an opponent ready to be subbed in as a 6th and final regular season game.

Call up Nebraska now. Tell their AD we are willing to travel to Lincoln and give them a return date after our season opener in Columbus. Or find a school from another conference who wants to play another game (many teams have no games scheduled after this weekend). Do not let Kevin Warren stand in the way.

And most importantly do not let TTUN hold us hostage! Have a primary backup opponent scheduled, with 2 additional alternates on standby ready. We have the best QB in program history and this Buckeye team deserves to get their shot in the 2020 CFP.
