The Arizona Cardinals select Marvin Harrison Jr. with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
At the end of the 1st Quarter: Ohio State 7, Indiana 0.
About the only thing I thought Indiana was famous for was the Indy 500 (which I'd like to see before I "shuffle off this mortal coil"). Still, I sometimes wonder how the name "Hoosiers" came about. Lots of interpretations abound, but I like this one best:
Quite as plausible as these was the facetious explanation offered by "The Hoosier Poet," James Whitcomb Riley. He claimed that Hoosier originated in the pugnacious habits of our early settlers. They were enthusiastic and vicious fighters who gouged, scratched and bit off noses and ears. This was so common an occurrence that a settler coming into a tavern the morning after a fight and seeing an ear on the floor would touch it with his toe and casually ask, "Whose ear?"

Pugilists they may be, the Hoosiers should meet their match in the 'Shoe today.
Go Bucks. Harass the Hoosiers. And the obligatory boilerplate:
All in, 11W.
Stay up, stay positive. There's going to be both highs and lows here, stick
close throughout - take a break from the keyboard if needed.
Open thread protocols (no trolls, zero tolerance for blatant asshattery) and the usual guidelines are in effect, voting is on...
"Note- A kind reminder to you participants in today's Buckeyes open threads:
we're allowing voting today as a tool- not a weapon- to help us monitor,
self-govern, and self-police commentary during the game. We know that
passions run high at times; we make allowance for that. But ad hominem
attacks, vulgar and/or obscene comments directed against either the team
or fellow commentators are disheartening and unacceptable. Please help
us by being your own editor, lest someone do it for you."
An additional kind reminder to refrain from new forum posts until after the
game (they'll be insta-nuked otherwise) - and that if you do offer up,
be detailed and lead the discussion. I'll take a well constructed post
full of criticism over the bullshit "M...igan Sux" link and run.
It's all good, it's always been good. We're going to need their best today,
and they'll need ours. Enjoy this day, we've all earned it.
Go Buckeyes.
