During media availability last week, Ryan Day talked about how Ohio State is preparing for the challenges of potential player or coach absences due to COVID-19.
Day did not, however, detail what the Buckeyes' contingency plan will be if Day himself either contracts COVID-19 or is forced to miss a game because of contact tracing.
If Day does miss a game, it appears we will find out that week who the acting head coach for the Buckeyes will be.
If he is forced out of a game, which Buckeye assistant coach do you think Ohio State should replace him? Here are the top-nine assistants on the staff:
- Larry Johnson (defensive line)
- Greg Mattison (co-defensive coordinator)
- Kerry Coombs (defensive coordinator)
- Kevin Wilson (offensive coordinator/tight ends)
- Al Washington (linebackers)
- Tony Alford (running backs)
- Brian Hartline (wide receivers)
- Matt Barnes (special teams coordinator)
- Greg Studrawa (offensive line)
Tell us your pick and why.
