After being released by the Dallas Cowboys before the start of the regular season, former Ohio State wide receiver Devin Smith has landed with Texas' other NFL team.
The Houston Texans announced Monday that they had signed Smith to their practice squad.
Smith played in four games with the Cowboys last season, his first NFL regular-season games since he played for the New York Jets in 2015 and 2016. Now, he'll join the 16-man practice squad in Houston, where performing well could eventually lead to a roster spot down the line as the Texans look to bolster their offense after scoring just 36 points in their first two games of the season.
