Devin Smith's time with the Dallas Cowboys has come to an end.

The former Ohio State wide receiver, who spent all of last season with the team, was one of five players released by the Cowboys on Wednesday.

Smith caught five passes for 113 yards in the Cowboys' first three games of last season, but played in just four total games for the year. He became buried on a roster that added first-round pick CeeDee Lamb to a wide receiver depth chart that already included Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and fellow former Ohio State receiver Noah Brown, among others.
