Most of us on here come to the site to talk bout our Buckeyes, our love for them, our desire to see them win Championships as we celebrate them.  I have been thinking recently about the decision from the league office to "postpone" the season, or as Saban called it, playing JV football.

B1G football is more than just watching the games and cheering for wins.  It has a tremendous impact on students, staff, businesses, and the greater community.  Let me go thru some point:

1. Student athletes.  Some players will be just fine, move on to the next level and thrive.  But what about the student athlete that was looking forward to the season to improve their future and NFL opportunity?   Joe Burrow, after his magnificant season in 2019, became the top pick,  signed a huge contract with a large signing bonus.  Burrow himself said that if not for his Senior year, he may have been looking for a job now.  Prior to the season he was ranked between rounds 5 and 7.  So to take away opportunities from these kids may takeaway the opportunity of a lifetime.  This does not even take into account Olympic sports being eliminated.  Taking away opportunities for current and future student athletes.  Do you care, Kevin Warren?

2. Staff.  Countless employees who don't make the big money we always hear about like head coaches do, will be left jobless.  There will be furloughs, positions eliminated, and lives devastated.  Do you care, Kevin Warren?

3. Local businesses.  These businesses both in the immediate campus areas, as well as the greater community, have always supported the schools, and looked forward to the 6 or 7 home games every year when alumni from across the country would come to their school.  Do you care, Kevin Warren? 

4. The greater community.  How does it feel like having to spend a every Saturday in the fall without Buckeyes football?  None of us have ever experienced it.  It wont be a happy thing.  Negative impact on people, knowing SEC games are on, ND games are on with fans, ACC games are on, B12 games are on, NFL games are on, heck in most states, HS football is on.  Depression will increase.  Drug usage will increase.  Sadly, suicides will increase.  Do you care, Kevin Warren?

I am just an Ohio State fan, alum, and someone who has attended all 4 Ohio State National Championship games since I have been alive.  Win or lose, I have been happy the Buckeyes were there and looking forward to the following year. What do I look forward to now?  Do you care, Kevin Warren?
