Ohio State's kicker and punter have both been recognized among college football's best at their respective specialties entering the 2020 season.

Blake Haubeil is one of 30 players on the preseason watch list for the Lou Groza Award, which honors college football's best kicker, while Drue Chrisman is one of 19 on the watch list for the Ray Guy Award, which honors the nation's best punter.

Haubeil and Chrisman are both entering their senior seasons at Ohio State. Haubeil is coming off a junior season in which he made 13 of 15 field goals, highlighted by a 55-yard field goal against Northwestern, and all 85 of his extra-point attempts. Chrisman, who has already been a Ray Guy Award semifinalist twice in his Ohio State career, enters his senior season with the third-most punts inside the 20-yard line (72) and fifth-best career punting average (43.9 yards per punt) in school history.

Ohio State has one previous winner of each award: B.J. Sander won the Ray Guy Award in 2003, while Mike Nugent won the Lou Groza Award in 2004.
