If Urban Meyer Had Been Our Coach from 2005-2018, How Many National Titles Would He Have Won?

This is a what if scenario that's been on my mind for a few weeks now. Obviously the circumstances were never there for this to happen, and Meyer became our coach when he did after a lot of dominoes had to fall in exactly the right ways.

However, let's say for the sake of argument that Urban Meyer, fresh off an incredible winning season at Utah, becomes Ohio State's head coach in 2005 rather than going to Florida. Why is the position available? Well, let's be fair to the Senator and say he just up and decided to retire, preferring to take a quieter job suited to his temperament and skills (basically the job he has now at YSU).

Urban Meyer takes over in 2005, a young coach with everything to prove. The Ohio State team he inherits is a strong one with the likes of Troy Smith, AJ Hawk, Nick Mangold, and Santonio Holmes among others. He inherits the coaching staff Tressel left behind, though he would also have the option to replace certain assistants with guys of his own choosing.

Finally, let's assume two things: first, Meyer doesn't have the heart attack and personal turmoil that ended his tenure at Florida, nor does anything like Tattoogate happen. Second, Meyer DOES suffer from the health conditions and stress that forced him to bow out in 2018.

With all that said, how differently does Ohio State's 21st century play out? How does Meyer do in his 14 years in charge?

How many BCS titles does he win in the old system? How is player development changed? How about perception of the Big Ten vs SEC?
