Interesting Factoid Re Ohio State’s Offensive Output in Past Rose Bowls

Ohio State’s highest point total was 42 in the 1974 Rose Bowl. Its second highest was only 27 in the 1969 Rose Bowl.

So...next Tuesday, I would assume the Buckeyes are more likely than not to at least do better than 1969, right?

The bottom line: even though I have watched (on TV) 10 Rose Bowls, I was still surprised to be reminded that they have only surpassed 30 points once.

Here’s hoping for a new record for points by the Buckeyes in a Rose Bowl on Jan 1.
