I think another comforting thought is that Coach Day will have Chip Kelly to lean on and his experience making the transition at Oregon from MIke Bellotti. I think prior to Riley at OU, Dabo at Clemson and Smart at UGa - this was the gold standard for a transition from long time coach to successor.
I think Oregon is still living off the legacy that Chip Kelly built on from Belotti and he was an out of the box hire... one of the first to take a demotion from Head Coach to coordinator (much like Chris Holman did to be an assistant at Butler).
I"m very excited about the future and I think most if not all of these recruits will reafirm once they speak directly with Coach Day....
