I work at a hotel downtown Indy, right across from Lucas Oil. Other than the enjoyable part of being able to talk to all of my fellow buckeyes calling in to make reservations, I thought I'd share what's been really funny working here. Michigan fans had our hotel sold out for the B1G championship game before the beat down in Columbus even happened. All week, the phone has been blowing up from TTUN fans sadly calling in, talking to me in their defeated voices and canceling their reservations. Worst of it all? They were so confident that they were going to beat us that several of them pre-paid for their reservations, which are unfortunately, non-refundable. I hate to see even my enemy lose out on a lot of money, but.. god damn. They keep taking hits and the suffering continues.
Word of advice, do not pre-pay for reservations when banking on a win from your favorite team.
