This is the common argument we hear when the committee is trying to decide who gets in. In my opinion let’s move it to 8 teams so both get in. I for one am not a fan of “The Eye Test” or “Best Team” because both those are subjective and take away from what actually happens on the field. It’s unfortunate that these kids bust their asses throughout the entire year and give it all on the field only to have a bunch of people in suits sit in a room and decide who they “think” are the best teams. The media is no better, I hear them talking about who should get in and some have said to leave teams out because they “don’t want to see that match up” or “this team would give that team a better game”. This is not a reason to choose one team over another. Take what they do on the field and decide from there. Once it is 8 teams you let the 5 power conference champions in, this will make the regular season even more important. Then let the committee select the next 3.
